One of Western Canada’s most popular retail stores says it has fallen victim to a cybersecurity incident.

In a tweet, Federated Co-op Ltd. confirmed that the incident had impacted some of its customer-facing systems and could continue to impact inventory for certain groceries.

Co-op first tweeted about the incident on Thursday, saying it was affecting its stores and cardlock petrol stations.

Co-op says there is currently no evidence to suggest customer data has been compromised.

The company says it will take appropriate action if any changes occur.
