To celebrate the launch, Jetstar is offering one-way fares on the new route from $95.

Avalon Airport is Victoria’s second international airport and is located 45 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD.

“Creating a direct link between Melbourne Avalon Airport and Brisbane will provide even more options for Victoria residents who want to travel to Queensland at an affordable price, as well as boosting tourism to the beautiful Surf Coast region and surrounding areas,” said Stephanie Tully, CEO of Jetstar Group.

“We know how many Victorians love heading north, especially in winter, and we look forward to giving them another direct connection to the Sunshine State.

“We thank the Victorian Government and Melbourne Avalon Airport for their continued support of low cost travel.”
