“Joke of a Crew”: Lewis Hamilton’s Garage Exit Leads to Brutal Fan Bashing of Mercedes “Lazy Crew”

Lewis Hamilton’s farewell season isn’t going as well as he would have liked. The start of the season was fraught with problems as the 2023 car continued to struggle. Mercedes currently sits in fourth place in the constructors’ standings, a position the team hasn’t seen since Lewis Hamilton began his reign. The team is finally back on track, having secured two podiums in the last two races; however, the Austrian sprint proved a difficult time for Hamilton.

Now that the 7-time world champion is moving to Ferrari, there are rumours going around in the paddock that Mercedes is trying to sabotage Lewis Hamilton. After the Canadian Grand Prix, an anonymous email found its way into the F1 community, from someone claiming to be a member of Mercedes. It stated that the team is deliberately trying to give Hamilton a bad season. While Toto Wolff denies all the accusations, an incident during qualifying in Austria says otherwise.

During qualifying, when Lewis Hamilton drove out of the garage, his car still had a jack and a cooling tube in contact. When they drove out of the garage, they were dragged out by the car, with a risk of damage to the rear end. This careless exit was noticed by everyone, with many fans pointing out that this could be the sabotage that was being talked about. Luckily the car was unharmed, but the fans were not happy with the carelessness and it was reflected in the comments section.

Unhappy fans shoot at Mercedes crew

One of the fans called the Mercedes crew lazy and made a funny rhyme. The crew did not deploy the car safely, showing that they may not have been at their best and this has now come to the attention of the fans.

Lewis Hamilton is leaving the team next season and this fan stated that the crew doesn’t care about his car. Many supporters believe that Toto Wolff is not happy with Hamilton’s decision and has instructed the team to make his car perform poorly. However, this seems like nothing more than a careless mistake.

Another fan believes Mercedes is trying to get revenge for abandoning the team. By saying Mercedes would do anything at this point, they expressed their frustration with Hamilton’s results.

Although Mercedes has been an unbeatable team for the past decade, their reign is over. This is something that Hamilton fans are not happy about, as they believe it is the team’s fault for not giving him a competitive car. After seeing how this wreckless qualifying release came about, one user called Mercedes a joke.
