City of Calgary Resumes Daily Updates on Water Restrictions

The City of Calgary is concerned about increased water usage since moving to Stage 3 water restrictions as the recently repaired system is not yet fully operational.

The city said Tuesday that crews are still struggling to stabilize the water system, delaying the easing of current restrictions.

Currently, Calgary residents are allowed to water their yards with a watering can, but due to Stage 3 restrictions, Calgary residents are not allowed to use hoses or sprinklers and are not allowed to fill fountains and pools in their yards.

City officials want the public to know that it is too early to move into Stage 2 water restrictions.

The City of Calgary has made an exception to Stage 3, as city-operated public outdoor pools, kiddie pools and spray parks are currently open.
