Edmonton set another record on Wednesday afternoon, with temperatures surpassing the previous record of 33.0 degrees Celsius set in 2001 on July 10.

At 4 p.m., the city’s temperature was 35.4 degrees Celsius, the seventh-highest temperature ever recorded in Alberta’s capital, based on data going back to 1880.

This is the third consecutive day of record temperatures in Edmonton. Monday (July 8) set a new record of 32.6 degrees Celsius, while Tuesday (July 9) tied the previous record of 34.1 degrees Celsius, set in 2015.
