Welcome to another beautiful summer week, Victoria!

We hope you are enjoying the sunshine and we are confident that the new cruise ships arriving this week will also be enjoying the warmth.

It’s a busy day for the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA), with 13 cruise ships expected between Wednesday, July 10 and Sunday, July 14.

That’s a total of 37,563 passengers, all excitedly running back and forth between the shops and restaurants in the city centre, while being given their allotted time.

Today, July 10, there are two cruise ships to let us leave: the Queen Elizabeth arrives at 1:00 p.m. with 2,081 passengers and the ship Carnival Luminosa arrives at 8:00 p.m. with 2,260 passengers.

The cruise ships you can visit are:

  • Thursday, July 11 at 11:00 am: Ovation of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
  • Thursday, July 11 at 5:30 p.m.: Celebrity Edge with 2,918 passengers
  • Friday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Bliss with 4,250 passengers
  • Friday July 12 at 8:00 PM: Eurodam with 2,104 passengers
  • Friday July 12 at 9pm: Discovery Princess with 3,660 passengers
  • Saturday July 13 at 7:00 PM: Majestic Princess with 3,560 passengers
  • Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Encore with 3,998 passengers
  • Saturday July 13 at 8:00 PM: Westerdam with 1,840 passengers
  • Sunday July 14 at 8:00 am: Silver Muse with 596 passengers
  • Sunday, July 14 at 5:00 PM: Quantum of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
  • Sunday, July 14 at 7:30 PM: Norwegian Sun with 1,936 passengers

The first ship to dock with us on Sunday 14th July, the Silver Muse, is the smallest ship to dock this week, but should not be underestimated.

Critics called the ship “quietly elegant and luxurious” for its sleek decor, surprisingly spacious dining options, spacious lounge areas and cruise packages.

And because there is a dress code after 6pm, there is a seductive element of fashionable sophistication. Formal evenings often see tuxedos and cocktail dresses instead of shorts, T-shirts and flip-flops.

Traveling solo? Silversea (the company that operates Silver Muse) offers special single rate offers where single travellers receive a single supplement of only 25% on selected trips.
