Hamilton Police continue to investigate after two bodies were discovered in separate locations in Hamilton – bayobserver.ca Hamilton, Burlington and GTA

Hamilton police will now investigate two people found on vacant lots.

On Saturday, Hamilton Police responded to a report of a death in the area of ​​1462 Upper James Street in Hamilton. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male in the field behind the residence.

The crime scene was held pending an autopsy. The autopsy was performed yesterday, but the cause of death was not clear and is still under investigation. Additional testing will take several months.

The deceased, whose name is not being released at this time, is from the Hamilton area. His family has been notified.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and will remain in the area for the next few days, speaking to witnesses and seeking video footage from nearby businesses.

Meanwhile, police reported yesterday the discovery of human remains in a vacant lot at the corner of Barton and Harmony Streets east of Kenilworth. Due to the condition of the body, police are unable to determine the gender or cause of death, but an autopsy is being performed.
