The Olympic Village has a new place where you can get coffee or pastries.

Stega Eatery, a breakfast and brunch restaurant, has taken over the former Press Room Cafe location at 1778 Columbia St.

This is Stega’s second location in as many years. Their first opened about a year ago at 301 W Cordova St., on the corner of Cambie Street in Gastown.

Stega offers a variety of snacks including gluten-free pastries, savoury waffles and pizza bagels. There is also a range of hot and cold drinks including an extensive list of coffee drinks, loose tea and fruit smoothies.

While the new location isn’t listed on Stega’s social media accounts or website, the café in the Olympic Village was open when VIA checked the physical location.

The press room announced earlier this year that they would be temporarily closing, but has not posted any updates on social media since January, nor applied for a new business license.
