Gamers Rejoice: Montreal’s Newest Arcade & Entertainment Center Is Now Open | Lifestyles

On Saturday, July 6, an exclusive VIP event, by invitation only, was held to celebrate the July 10 opening of Les Trois Monkeys, a full-service arcade and family entertainment center complete with restaurant and bar.

Located in the heart of downtown on the second floor of Les Cours Mont-Royal (1455 Peel, between Ste-Catherine and De Maisonneuve), the venue’s owners call it “Montreal’s premier amusement playground,” with a multitude of activities including bowling, laser tag, mini-golf, AR (augmented reality) darts, plus a selection of over 90 video game arcades and claw machines. Add in the lively resto-bar for a tasty meal or drinks, and the place is a great venue for any occasion, including parties and events.

Guests at Saturday night’s special event enjoyed Delta Strike Laser Tag, Lucky Putt mini-golf, modern lane bowling and a wide variety of classic arcade games in the spacious entertainment center, making Les Trois Monkeys the largest arcade in downtown Montreal, with something for every type of gamer.

Traditionalists gravitated toward classics like arcade basketball, air hockey, Pump It Up (Dance Dance Revolution), and top racing games like Mario Kart, Fast & Furious, and Super Bike 3. Small groups waited their turn to try groundbreaking immersive virtual reality (VR) arcade games like Godzilla VR, King Kong VR, and SpongeBob VR video game experiences. With each play, they earned points that could be redeemed for prizes.

Those playing games without additional points advantage spent time testing their skills at the rows of claw machines, including the innovative and first of its kind Montreal Human Claw Machine, where you become the claw with prizes always within reach. The less adventurous tried their luck at the traditional mini claw cranes and arcade toy claw machines. It is true that there was a lot of excitement at these attractions, as many guests went home as winners.

If bowling is your thing, Les Trois Monkeys also offers the ultimate bowling experience in downtown Montreal. You can take over one of eight brand new bowling lanes by the hour or by the game. If you have an event or party, you can book with multiple package options of bowling only or with other activities in the center.

With the event winding down into the evening, a break from the games and rides was necessary and Les Trois Monkeys’ full-service resto-bar offers a chef-designed menu with a tasty variety of seasonal specialties, kid-friendly options and a carefully curated cocktail menu with a tempting selection of drinks, classic brews and innovative blends, mocktails, beer and wine list. And you can have it all while watching the featured sporting events on one of the center’s 75-inch HD TVs.

As an event venue, Les Trois Monkeys is a new option for a wide range of gatherings, from birthday parties and corporate events to family reunions and team building activities. And if you can’t make it, you can always treat a family member or friend to a gift voucher.
