Ronald Clayton McIntyre

Ronald passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on June 15, 2024, at the age of 80.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Susan; daughter Kimberly (Lyle); granddaughters, Bailey & Abbigail of Westlock; son, Trevor (Tiffany); granddaughters, Mackenzie and Riley of Calgary; sister, Elsie; brother, Ben; sister, Darlene; brother-in-law, Jay, and many special nieces & nephews. Dad’s friends Klutch, Kevin, Maple, & Kenai will miss him dearly.

Ron and Sue were married in August of 1965 in Saskatoon. At that time Ron was working as a Freemason until 1968 when they decided to join Ben and Hilda in the booming mining town of Uranium City where he worked as a Millright Underground Foreman until 1977. He then started McIntyre Trucking Company until 1983 when the mine closed. That is when Ron and Sue started their new life in Westlock where they started R&R McIntyre Oil & Agri. Sales until he retired in 2001. Over the years he was grateful for all the people he met. In retirement he was able to enjoy all of his favorite things such as spending time with his granddaughters, hunting and fishing with his buddies, golfing with friends and family, woodworking, comparing yards with neighbors and floor curling.

We always think of you,
We still talk about you,
You are never forgotten,
You never will.
We hold you close to our hearts
And there you will stay,
To guide and guide us through our lives,
Until we meet again.

A private family gathering will be held later to honor Ronald.

On Ronald’s behalf you can make a donation to the Canadian Tractor Museum.
