Sixteen people are now facing charges of providing sexual services, following a police investigation into sex trafficking.

According to a press release released yesterday by the Regina Police Service, members of the service’s vice unit, the Prince Albert Police Department’s anti-human trafficking team and the anti-human trafficking team made the arrests on June 19 and 20.

The two-day project targeted those who exploit the most vulnerable and helped combat human trafficking and child exploitation.

The suspects have already appeared before the provincial court for the first time and will be enrolled in a training program for first-time offenders.
