The Hudson’s Bay department store in downtown Prince George remains closed again today.

Signs at the entrances to the Parkwood Place store at 1600 15th Avenue say the closure is due to “system issues” and that the store “will reopen tomorrow.”

But on Sunday, the same signs hung on the glass doors.

“The store is closed while we perform maintenance on our HVAC system,” said Tiffany Bouree, vice president of corporate communications, public relations, events, social events and heritage at Hudson’s Bay.

“The comfort and well-being of our customers and employees is always our top priority.”

The Bay store in downtown Vancouver at Georgia and Granville Streets is also closed to the public due to unknown maintenance issues.

The Victoria store at 1150 Douglas St. was closed as of Monday due to maintenance issues with its HVAC system. In Ontario, the situation was similar, as the Bay store at the Devonshire Mall in Windsor was closed due to heat and a non-functioning cooling system.

In May, the Bay store in Mississauga, Ontario was also temporarily closed due to “system issues.”
