A 22-year-old driver asked an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer to slow down and rest after he was caught speeding 194 km/h (120 mph), officials said.

OPP reported in a tweet Saturday morning that the driver was traveling on Highway 8 in Kitchener on his way home to Hamilton.

In the tweet, OPP wrote that the driver asked officers to “slow down and give him a break.”

The driver was charged with stunt driving and will be given a 30-day license suspension and his vehicle will be impounded for 14 days, OPP said.
