According to Regina police, a man wanted in connection with multiple crimes has been arrested in an early morning robbery.

At approximately 1:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Osler Street.

Police were told that a victim had been threatened and robbed by a man with a gun.

Officers arrived on scene, obtained a description of the suspect and discovered that he had fled.

A short time later, officers found a man matching the suspect’s description at 1900 Ottawa Street.

He was arrested without incident. A search of the 21-year-old turned up the stolen items and the weapon.

The suspect was charged with four counts, including theft, obstructing a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of stolen property valued less than $5,000.

The Regina Police Department investigation also linked the suspect to an incident on April 11.

As a result, he is facing two additional charges, namely theft and forcible confinement.

The suspect will appear in court for the first time on Tuesday afternoon.
