A Winnipeg man is having a wonderful summer with an extra $1.25 million in his pocket.

Manuel Resendes was drawn on Tuesday as the grand prize winner in the 2024 Tri-hospital dream lottery.

The lottery, a partnership between the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, the Health Sciences Centre Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, raises vital funds for health care in Manitoba.

Resendes (ticket number 3256550) can choose between a $1.25 million tax-free cash prize or one of five take-home packages, each worth more than $1.5 million.

Szymon Zajac from Winnipeg (lot number 3417278) was selected as the 50/50 Plus winner, taking home $662,350.

This year’s Early Bird, Grand Prize, and 50/50 winners will be posted on trihospitaldream.com. All other winners will be posted online by July 18, 2024.
