2. Treat yourself to This local jewelry brand pop-up store on Granville Island

Local, female-run jewelry brand Lover’s Tempo is stepping out of the digital and into Vancouver’s quirky little island city to show off their new summer styles (anklets, puffy earrings, a colorful Pride-worthy Riot collection, and what the heck is a tennis bracelet). Plus, they feature artwork by this year’s Full Circle Artist Program artist, watercolorist Paula Barrantes. I say it’s time to treat yo’self (and why not treat yourself to a Lee’s Donut).

3. Enjoy a weekend of free fun for the whole family at the 22nd Vancouver Chinatown Festival

July 13-14

Slather your family in SPF 50 and head to Chinatown from 12pm to 6pm for a weekend of fun in the sun, including dance performances, an orchestra, Science World shows, Taiko drumming, tap dancing, a marching band, children’s theatre, a children’s corner with face painting and a lion dance workshop, food trucks and much more (if you can believe it!)

4. Enjoy a movie in the open air with Deckchair Cinemas Stop making sense

July 11

Grab a blanket or a camp chair and enjoy cinema the way God intended… under the stars! This Thursday (and for eight consecutive Thursdays), Polygon Gallery will be screening a new film each week, starting with the Talking Heads concert film (AKA the greatest concert film of all time). Enjoy pre-film music, local brewery drinks, and arrive early (7:00 PM) to catch the Anti-Icon: Apokalypsis Opening Celebration.
