Yesterday (Monday 8th July) a baby was found dead in his home by the Metropolitan Police. The circumstances surrounding the death are currently unknown but police say they are conducting an urgent investigation.

The Met was called to Taviton Street near Euston Square, Central London, at 3.53pm yesterday to reports of a ‘concern for welfare’. When police arrived at the address with members of the London Ambulance Service, they found the baby dead.




Police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made yet.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called to Taviton Street, WC1, to reports of concerns for the welfare of residents.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A baby was found dead. Investigations into the circumstances are ongoing.”
