Wire stolen from Alberta oil field

The Alberta RCMP are searching for several suspects who allegedly stole a large quantity of copper wire from an oil field, causing approximately $100,000 in damage.

On July 6, Innisfail RCMP officers were called to an oil field at Range Road 40 and Township Road 360 after business owners reported the theft of a significant amount of wire.

According to police, a group of suspects entered through a fence and disconnected the cable, causing significant damage to the location.

Authorities have not yet released any descriptions, but are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact the Innisfail RCMP division at 403-227-3342.
