Live: Trains cancelled until end of day on Southeastern after fire in Orpington

A busy Southeastern service National Rail route has been disrupted by a fire which caused an electrical fault on the line. Southeastern services between London Charing Cross and Ashford International/Hastings/Ore/Dover Priory, and also between London Cannon Street and Ashford International/Ramsgate are affected.

Thameslink services are also affected between Luton/West Hampstead Thameslink/London Blackfriars and Orpington

A fire at the electrical substation has caused a power outage at Orpington, meaning trains are unable to use platforms 6 and 8 at the station. As a result, services may be cancelled or modified. This is expected to continue until the end of the day. Network Rail response staff are on site to assess the damage caused, but will need full access to the station to carry out work on the substation, and will be doing this overnight.

National Rail has said that tickets are valid on London buses to and from Orpington and London Underground services between London Terminal Station. You may also be entitled to compensation for the disruption.
