Monday and Tuesday will be scorching hot in the city!

A heat warning is in effect today and is expected to last until tomorrow evening.

The maximum daytime temperature on Monday is expected to be 31°C and 35 to 38 degrees Celsius, with high humidity.

Environment Canada also warns of high temperatures at night, with lows of 20°C or higher.

On Tuesday, it will be a maximum of 31°C. In the evening, it will be a bit cooler as cooler air masses flow into the country.

People are encouraged to be alert for symptoms of heat illness, including swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and worsening of certain health conditions.

“Drink plenty of water regularly, even before you feel thirsty, to reduce the risk of dehydration,” the agency advises.

On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to drop to 22°C, while on Thursday temperatures are expected to reach 25°C, with a chance of showers.

On Friday you can expect a mix of sun and clouds, with a maximum temperature of 28°C.

Temperatures of around 30 degrees are expected on Saturday and Sunday, with a mix of sun and clouds on both days.
