Heat warnings have been issued for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and most of New Brunswick on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures expected to reach around 30 degrees.

According to Environment Canada, the warning could also last until Wednesday for some regions in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

According to the weather service’s website, daytime temperatures will be around 31 degrees, with a perceived temperature of 37 to 39 degrees due to humidity.

Little improvement is expected tonight, with lows of 18 to 19 degrees in the forecast.

During these two days you can expect cooler temperatures along parts of the coast.

According to Kalin Mitchell, chief meteorologist at CTV Atlantic, the criteria for a heat warning are slightly different for each province in the Maritimes, but require two consecutive days and nights of high temperatures, high humidity and warm nights.
