A three-run second inning proved to be the difference as the Swift Current 57s defeated the Moose Jaw Miller Express 5-2 in the Western Canadian Baseball League on Sunday. The Millers are now 20-14 on the season and three games behind the top-ranked Regina Red Sox, who lost 10-4 to Medicine Hat yesterday. Next up for the Millers is Wednesday in Regina.

The Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 18U won two games against the Sask Five Marlins on Saturday and followed that up by splitting a double-header against the East Central Red Sox on Sunday. They defeated the Red Sox 6-4 in Game 1, but lost 4-1 in Game 2.

The Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 15U lost two games to the White Butte Broncos on Saturday, but won both games on Sunday against the South East A’s 16-6 and 13-3.

The MJMBA 11U AA Canucks have an undefeated season with a 20-0 record. Playoffs begin Friday in Regina.

In softball, Team Southwest 2024 U13 defeated Team Regina in two games on Sunday, winning 19-10 in game 1 and 15-9 in game 2.

In Major League Baseball yesterday, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Mariners 5-4.

In the CFL, the BC Lions defeated the Tiger Cats 44-28.
