The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Florida Panthers 5-1 on Friday night at Rogers Place thanks to goals from Warren Foegele, Adam Henrique, Zach Hyman, Ryan McLeod and Darnell Nurse to even the Stanley Cup Final at 3-3.

Game 7 is on Monday night in South Florida.

Here’s what happened in Game 6:

Third period

Another empty netter for the Oilers, this time Darnell Nurse fired the puck from inside the Oilers blue line to make it 5-1.

Second period

Florida took the win to Edmonton between the Oilers’ two goals in that period, but Stuart Skinner was superb with 11 saves.

Nugent-Hopkins sent Hyman on a breakaway, but the forward managed to get past Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Oilers lead 3-0 after two periods.

The Panthers thought they had a goal, but after a review captain Aleksander Barkov was found to be offside. Oilers lead 2-0.

First period

The Edmonton Oilers are on the scoreboard in Game 6.

German forward Leon Draisatil, who has paid little attention to the game so far in the Stanley Cup Final, provided an assist on the first goal of the game to Warren Foegele.

Foegele was on Connor McDavid’s lineup in the previous game, but was replaced by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for the sixth game.

Before the match

Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers is set to begin at Rogers Place.

The Oilers have won the last two games, but the Panthers lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

If the Oilers win on Friday night, they will force a seventh game in South Florida on Monday night.
