A Saskatoon man accused of killing a 25-year-old e-scooter driver in a crash last Saturday is now out of jail with a list of specific conditions.

Wade Scott Chaboyer, 38, is charged with fleeing a crash, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of more than 80 mg of alcohol, resulting in death.

Saskatoon police were called after the 25-year-old scooter rider was found dead about 3 a.m. Saturday on Warman Road, just off Circle Drive, an earlier police news release said.

Investigators believe a car was traveling north on Warman Road when it struck the 25-year-old man.

Chaboyer was arrested and charged later that day. He was released on Wednesday with the agreement of the Crown and defense, subject to numerous conditions.

Examples of this include: reporting to a probation officer, adhering to a curfew, not drinking alcohol and not driving.

Chaboyer is due back in court on July 17.
